Welcome back! This week, I’m showcasing the most affordable golf courses that are relatively close to the party scene for stag do’s (bachelor parties). Choosing the right golf course can be a bit of a headache—especially when you want to please everyone but don’t want to end up at a stuffy classic course. Let’s be real: half the crew probably don’t know anything about golf etiquette and will probably get banned from a prestige golf course! So, what you really want is a cheap and cheerful spot that keeps the good vibes rolling. Unless, of course, your whole squad is made up of golf connoisseurs—which, let’s face it, is rarely the case! I’ll cover those courses another day. There were many different possible options for these however I’ve covered what I feel are the best 3 courses from 5 popular stag do locations in Asia.

Hidden Golf Gems for Stag Do’s in Asia

🇹🇭 Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is probably the most popular destination for Stag Do’s in Asia. Known for its electric nightlife, it also offers some fantastic (and affordable) golf courses just a short drive from the city center.

1. Bangkok Golf Club

   • Location: Just 30 minutes from central Bangkok.

   • Price: Approx. 1,600–2,000 THB ($45–$60) for 18 holes (including caddie).

   • Why Visit: This course is compact but challenging, with water hazards on nearly every hole. It’s quick to play, leaving you plenty of time to hit the city’s famous rooftop bars or clubs like Levels and Sing Sing Theater. Also offers night golf with floodlights.

2. Krung Kavee Golf Course & Country Club

   • Location: 40 minutes from Bangkok.

   • Price: Approx. 1,200 THB ($35) for 18 holes (plus caddie fee).

   • Why Visit: Known for its beautifully maintained fairways and laid-back vibes, this course is surrounded by nature yet close enough to the city for a night out in Sukhumvit.

3. Pinehurst Golf Club

   • Location: About 45 minutes from Bangkok.

   • Price: Approx. 1,500 THB ($45) for 18 holes.

   • Why Visit: With three 9-hole courses to choose from, it’s perfect for groups who want variety. Also offers night golf although I’m sure you’d rather be heading back to Bangkok city for a street food and a wild night at Nana Plaza.

🇻🇳 Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) another popular destination, is a vibrant mix of culture, nightlife, and excellent golf. These courses are ideal for stag groups looking to tee off during the day and party at night.

1. Tan Son Nhat Golf Course

   • Location: Just 20 minutes from the city center.

   • Price: Approx. $60–$80 for 18 holes (caddie included).

   • Why Visit: Conveniently close to central Saigon, this well-maintained course offers a fun layout with scenic views of the city skyline. After your round, hit up Bui Vien Street for a wild night of bars, clubs, and street food. Night golf on offer as well if you prefer.

2. Twin Doves Golf Club

   • Location: 45 minutes from downtown Ho Chi Minh City.

   • Price: Approx. PHP 1,350 ($24) for 18 holes.

   • Why Visit: It’s an 18-hole par 68 course with a compact layout featuring multiple slopes, doglegs, and water hazards. This makes for a fun and engaging round without the time commitment of larger courses.
